Terms of Service

Effective date: 2 September 2026

These Terms govern the relationship between SiamCarMate, operated by Fulcrum Data Technologies ("Service", "we"), and the person ordering an inspection ("Client", "you"). By ordering an inspection you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.

1. General provisions

1.1. SiamCarMate provides independent pre-purchase inspections of used vehicles in Greater Bangkok. The result of an inspection is a written report.

1.2. We are not a car dealer, broker, agent or party to any sale. We do not sell vehicles and we accept no commission, referral fee or other payment from sellers, dealerships or intermediaries.

1.3. We do not act as your representative in negotiations unless a separate deal support service has been agreed in writing.

1.4. These Terms may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page on the day your order is placed.

2. What the inspection covers

2.1. A standard inspection covers 100 checkpoints: bodywork including paint thickness measurement, structural condition, interior, engine and transmission, electronic fault codes read over OBD2, suspension and brakes, and a road test.

2.2. The inspection also covers documentation available at the time of inspection — the registration book (blue book), the correspondence of VIN and registration numbers, and publicly recorded encumbrances — together with the vehicle's listing and auction history as recorded in our own database of the Thai market.

2.3. The inspection is visual, instrumental and diagnostic. It does not involve dismantling the vehicle, removing body panels or interior trim, opening sealed assemblies, or lifting the vehicle unless the seller provides a lift and consents.

  • We do not disassemble engines, gearboxes or any sealed component.
  • We do not perform bench testing, laboratory analysis or emissions certification.
  • We do not guarantee the discovery of defects that are not detectable by the methods described in clause 2.3.
  • We do not verify facts that depend on records we cannot lawfully access.

3. The report

3.1. The report is delivered in English as a PDF within 24 hours of the inspection being completed.

3.2. The report contains our findings, photographs, a paint thickness map, fault codes, road test observations, the vehicle's recorded history, a condition verdict and an indicative fair price.

3.3. The verdict — buy, negotiate or walk away — is our professional opinion based on the condition of the vehicle on the day of inspection. It is advice, not a warranty of the vehicle and not a valuation for financing or insurance purposes.

3.4. The report describes the vehicle as it was at the moment of inspection. It says nothing about its condition afterwards, and a vehicle can be damaged, repaired or altered between the inspection and your purchase.

3.5. The report is prepared for you alone. You may show it to the seller. You may not resell it, publish it, or present it as an inspection of any other vehicle.

4. Ordering, payment and scheduling

4.1. Prices are ฿3,000 for a Standard inspection and ฿4,500 for an Extended inspection, inclusive of travel within Greater Bangkok. Inspections outside that area, and of luxury, sports or specialist vehicles, are quoted separately before you pay.

4.2. You place an order through this website or through one of our messaging channels. We then confirm the inspection time with the seller and confirm it to you.

4.3. Payment is due after the inspection time has been confirmed and before the inspector travels to the vehicle. We accept card payment and PromptPay.

4.4. We contact the seller on your behalf in Thai in order to arrange access to the vehicle. We do not disclose your identity, contact details or budget to the seller unless you ask us to.

4.5. The inspection depends on the seller granting access. We cannot compel a seller to present a vehicle, and clause 6 governs what happens when access is refused.

5. Your responsibilities

5.1. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us — the listing link or reference, the location of the vehicle and the seller's contact details. An inspection carried out on the wrong vehicle because of incorrect information you supplied is not refundable.

5.2. The decision to buy is yours alone. Our report informs that decision; it does not make it.

5.3. You are responsible for your own contract with the seller, the transfer of the blue book, payment of the purchase price, taxes and registration. We are not a party to any of it.

6. Cancellation and refunds

6.1. Full refund. You receive a full refund, with no deduction, if the vehicle was sold before we could inspect it; if the seller refuses to allow the inspection or to present the vehicle; if the seller does not appear at the agreed time and does not offer another one; if we cannot carry out the inspection for a reason on our side (the inspector is unavailable, our equipment fails, or we cannot reach the location); if you cancel more than 12 hours before the confirmed inspection time; or if we inspected the wrong vehicle because of an error on our side. Instead of a refund you may choose to move the inspection to a different vehicle.

6.2. Where a seller refuses to allow an inspection, we also tell you plainly that the refusal is itself a warning sign.

6.3. Partial refund. If you cancel less than 12 hours before the confirmed time, or the inspector has already travelled to the vehicle when the inspection falls through for a reason that is not our fault, we retain ฿1,000 to cover the travel and the reserved slot and refund the remainder. If an inspection begins but cannot be completed because the seller withdraws access part way through, we refund half the fee and send you the findings we did record.

6.4. No refund. Once the inspection has been carried out and the report delivered, the service has been performed. We do not refund because the report advised against buying the car, because you changed your mind or bought a different vehicle, because the seller would not negotiate on the findings, because the vehicle was the wrong one as a result of information you supplied (clause 5.1), or because a defect appeared after the inspection or was outside the scope described in clause 2.

6.5. Errors in the report. If you believe the report contains a factual error — a wrong reading, something our stated methods should have found, or the wrong vehicle described — tell us within 14 days of receiving it. If the error is ours we correct the report and, where it is material to the verdict, re-inspect the vehicle at our cost or refund the fee. A difference of opinion about the verdict is not a factual error; clause 7 governs our liability.

6.6. Refunds are paid to the payment method you used, with no processing fee. Card refunds usually appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank; PromptPay refunds are usually same day.

6.7. To request a refund, write to [email protected] with your order details and what happened. We confirm within two business days.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. We perform each inspection with the professional care and skill reasonably expected of a competent vehicle inspector.

7.2. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with any inspection is limited to the fee you paid for that inspection.

7.3. We are not liable for the purchase price of a vehicle, for repair costs, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

7.4. We are not liable for defects that could not reasonably have been detected by the non-invasive methods described in clause 2.3, nor for latent defects that manifested after the inspection, nor for anything the seller actively concealed from our inspector.

7.5. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Intellectual property

8.1. The report, the inspection methodology, our historical market database and everything published on this website remain our property.

8.2. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use your report for your own purchase decision, including showing it to the seller of the inspected vehicle.

9. Governing law

9.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand.

9.2. We would rather resolve a complaint than argue about one. Please write to us first — most issues are settled within a few days.
